ROG has launched the 2022 version of the Strix Scar and Strix G, equipped with new AMD and Intel chipsets, along with DDR5 RAM.
The ROG Strix Scar is powered by the Intel Core i9-12900H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX laptop GPU with a 150 W max TGP, paired with DDR5 RAM clocked to 4800Hz and PCIe Gen 4x4 SSD. The gaming laptop has a dedicated MUX Switch that reduces latency and increases gaming performance. The Strix G15 and G17 are powered by up to an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU at 150 W with Dynamic Boost.
ROG has improved the Intelling Cooling system in both the Strix Scar and Strix G, using liquid metal on the CPU for improved heat transfer. The Strix Scar has been updated with Thermal Grizzly’s latest and greatest Conductonaut Extreme solution. The laptops also adopt 84-blade Arc Flow Fans to improve airflow while reducing turbulence and noise.
The Strix Scar 17 features an IPS display with a blazing 360Hz refresh rate, a 3ms response time, 1080p resolution, as well as Dolby Vision HDR and Adaptive-Sync support. There's also another 240Hz display with QHD resolution. The Strix G17 has the same FHD 360 Hz and QHD 240 Hz display options, while the Strix G15 offers FHD 300 Hz and 165 Hz display options. For connectivity, the laptops include USB-A and USB-C ports and Thunderbolt 4 port.
Available on the Strix Scar is a transparent palm rest and per-key RGB that's compatible with Aura Sync. The Strix Scar has an armor cap on the rear, offering three color options. The Strix G15 and G17 come in three color options: the subtle Eclipse Gray, the bold Volt Green, and
Electro Punk.
The ROG Strix Scar 2022 version starts from RM10,699.
