Riot Games Southeast Asia has announced that the Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021 will take place from mid-September to early October. Riot has teamed up with ESL Asia to launch the event in the region.
The top 21 teams of the ongoing Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Fall Season from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Hong Kong will qualify for the championship competing for prizes worth a total of US$200,000 (~RM848,700). In addition, teams from Australia and New Zealand will be given an opportunity to join through the Oceanic Qualifiers.
The Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021 comprises three stages including:
Stage 1: Play-ins from 14 - 19 September
Stage 2: Group stages from 23 - 26 September
Stage 3: Main event from 30 September - 3 October
