In the premiere of season 6 of Rick and Morty, Rick shaved his head and putting the red paint on his face to imitate Kratos iconic facial tattoo. Rick passed a toy bow and arrow to Morty without hesitant and opens a portal to Nine Realms (the worlds of Norse mythology in which the 2018 God of War and this sequel take place) and pushing Morty to the portal and followed by his own steps.
While Morty was being swarmed by vultures, Rick found the Leviathan Axe and unannounced upgrades within a treasure chest. Rick refuses to save Morty after got his hands on the Leviathan Axe because he doesn't want to get blood all over the axe. Instead he tells Morty he have more important things to do and proceed to pushed the boat out the shores having the Leviathan Axe on the boat with him together.

It will be very exciting to have Kratos and Atreus carry on the adventure to understand about the prophecy of "Loki" before the arrival of Ragnarök.
