After over a decade since its release, Alan Wake is getting a sequel, Remedy Entertainment announced. Alan Wake 2 is confirmed to release in 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Epic Games Store.
Remedy's Creative Director Sam Lake said that it will be the studio's first-ever survival horror game, in contrast with the action focus of the first game.
If you didn't know about the game, it is an adventure mystery game featuring the eponymous Alan Wake, a writer who suffers from writer's block visits the small town of Bright Falls, Washington with his wife for a short vacation. When his wife is kidnapped by a mysterious force, he must use the power of light to rescue her.
