Reigning Overwatch League MVP Defects to Valorant

Welp, the newest game on the block has just stolen one of its competitor's most prized players. Jay "Sinatraa" Won announced via Twitter that he will be quitting Overwatch in favour of Valorant, Riot Games' newest competitive shooter.

In his TwitLonger statement, Won claimed that he lost passion for Overwatch, citing the 2-2-2 and the new hero ban system as the main factors. He also apologised to his teammates for not giving his all in their recent scrims and matches, likely due to his growing stress and apathy for the game.

The bombshell was dropped in a follow-up tweet, stating that he will be jumping ship to Valorant; Won will be leaving San Francisco Shock to join the Sentinels organisation, where he will be streaming and eventually competing at Valorant.

Won will be playing alongside Apex Legends player Jared "Zombs" Gitlin, as well as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players Shahzeb "ShahZam" Khan, and Hunter "SicK" Mims.

Some may view his move as questionable, especially since he's leaving a comfortable home for a game that isn't even officially out yet - whether that is a promising sign for the future of Valorant or a huge red flag for Overwatch, we're certainly expecting more mutinies like this in the near future.
