The realme 9i has officially launched in Malaysia, featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 6nm processor and 33W Dart Charge. Priced at RM869, it will be available for purchase starting on 22 January on its official store on Shopee only.
In terms of design, the realme 9i features a Stereo Prism design that holds a prismatic texture of more than 3,000 prism-like line combinations and uses a special 8-Layer Optical Coating process, in which eight layers of light refraction is captured to deliver high color
saturations with light effects.
It boasts a 6.6" LCD with a 90Hz adaptive refresh rate and 480 nits of peak brightness. The screen's refresh rate can automatically change from 30Hz - 90Hz depending on the usage. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, which realme says can deliver an overall increased performance by up to 46% and lower power consumption by up to 62%.
It also comes with two memory variants: 4GB and 6GB, both of which can be added thanks to the Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) technology by up to 5GB of virtual RAM. Its 128GB internal storage can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.
Underneath the hood, the 5000mAh battery can deliver 41 days of standby time. It supports the 33W Dart Charge, which can charge it from zero to 100% in 70 minutes. For capturing photos, the triple rear camera module on the back consists of a 50MP main camera, a 4MP ultra macro lens, and a 2MP black-and-white portrait lens. On the other side, the display houses a 16MP selfie camera.
Available in Prism Blue and Prism Black, the realme 9i comes with two variants: the 6+128 GB model priced at RM869 while the 4+128GB model costs RM799.
