Today, realme officially launched its flagship GT 2 Pro in Malaysia, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and 2K AMOLED display, with an early bird promotional price of RM2,599.
The GT 2 Pro features the world's first 2K AMOLED Flat display on a 6.7" screen with a 525ppi, 1400 nits of peak brightness, and 10-bit color support. It has a refresh rate that can automatically adjust from 1Hz - 120Hz and a 1000Hz touch sampling rate. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, the phone is capable of delivering 30% peak performance. For cooling, it has a large heat dissipation area of 36,761mm² for up to 3°C of temperature reduction.
For this device, realme has teamed up with world-renowned designer Naoto Fukasawa for a Paper Tech Master Design concept, featuring eco-friendly, bio-based polymer on the rear cover to create a premium paper texture. The back cover is made of SABIC’s LNP ELCRIN bio-based copolymer material, reducing up to 39% of CO2.
The 50MP IMX766 main sensor with OIS is joined by a 40x micro-lens camera and the world's first 150° ultra-wide camera. According to realme, the ultrawide camera provides a 278% increase in the field of view. Meanwhile, the 40x micro-lens 2.0 allows users to be two times further away from the subject for better focusing.
The device will run realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 with new 3D icons, Fluid Space Design and Omojis, as well as improved privacy functions.
