PUBG Mobile Esports Team GANK Joins SEAGM and Will Compete as SEM9.GANK

Formerly known as Yoodo GANK, the Malaysia Book of Records winner of the "First Team to Win PUBG Mobile Tournament at Southeast Asia Level" has joined leading online games digital goods platform SEAGM after their contract with Yoodo expired.

SEAGM acquired the team at RM2 million and a new partnership was formed. The team will be joining the upcoming PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) Season 4 and future PUBG Mobile esports events under the new team name - SEM.9GANK - the PUBG Mobile team for the SEM9 esports organisation.

SEM9 is an organisation that's growing with its mobile esports teams like its League of Legends: Wildrift team and Free Fire team. The addition of Gank will further strengthen SEM9 as an organisation in mobile esports.

"SEM9 stands for SEAGM Esports Malaysia 9. I envisioned it to be a Malaysian esports organisation that continuously groom and support Malaysian talents to realise their dreams as pro players. SEM9 will also provide the platform that creates career paths for the talents," said Tommy Chieng, SEM9 CEO & Founder.

The new SEM9.GANK consists of Aiman “ManParang” Amirul as the in-game leader (IGL), Azim “DRAXX” Ikromi as the Fragger, Hakim “Bravo” Saddar as the Rusher, Faizul “Putra” Iskandar Putra as the Support, and Azim “Wrydep” Haris as the Rusher. Joining them in the team are Fawwaz “Soultan” Sehaimi as the team analyst and former professional PUBG player Agus “Hahagus” Amran who will be the coach.

The team has come in second place in the recent PUBG Mobile National Championships (PMNC) Malaysia 2021. Member Putra earned the Terminator title as the player with the highest total kills throughout the entire event. The organisation believes that the new members Putra and Bravo will have good synergy with veteran players ManParang and Draxx.
