Free-to-play online RPG Phantasy Star Online 2 is finally releasing on PS4 in the west, several years after every other version.
The developers, Sega, announced on July 1 that the game will finally release in the west for PS4 after being delayed indefinitely in 2013.
Released in Japan in 2012, the game arrived in the west in 2021 for Windows and Xbox One under the updated name: Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis.
The PS4 version of the game will release on August 31 and will have full crossplay with the Xbox One and PC versions.
