Well, that's another way to grab attention and make headlines. Oppo's first smartwatch looks eerily similar to the iconic Apple Watch - the only visible difference being the long buttons on the sides replacing Apple's digital crown.
From the sole render that was released, it appears that the watch straps are not detachable - unless there is a hidden mechanism that functions differently from Apple's slide-to-release method.
There is also a long green strip on the lower button - whether this is merely for aesthetic / tactility purposes or lights up to function as an indicator of sorts remains unknown.
Not much else is known about the smartwatch, apart from Oppo's Vice President Brian Shen claiming that it will be 'the best smartwatch of the year' without further comment.
