OPPO Reno15 Series Review: Capture the Vibe with the Widest Camera Lens!

OPPO has kicked off 2026 with the launch of their new OPPO Reno15 Series, bringing forth refined aesthetics and powerful features to benefit its users. Furthermore, with their new camera features boasting new wide shots with its 0.6x lens, you’ll be able to take group shots with no issues. In this review, we’ll be taking a closer look at the OPPO Reno15 Series’ design, display, camera capabilities, performance, AI features and even the battery life to determine if this device is a good match for you.

Design

The OPPO Reno15 features a sleek and lightweight design, making it comfortable to hold and use throughout the day. When looking at the design for the OPPO Reno15, the device comes with a sleek and elegant design that takes deep inspiration from nature. The Reno15 comes with a Dancing Aurora Texture Design, with the back of the device mirroring the celestial beauty of auroras. This texture not only looks premium, but it also subtly changes depending on how much light is on it.

Complementing the texture design would be its new Dynamic Stellar Ring Design, which reimagines the camera module, making the design appear more visually appealing.

Aside from just its aesthetics, the Reno15 is built with durability in mind. The phone features an aerospace-grade aluminum frame, which helps to improve the phone’s durability while maintaining its lightweight design. It also features an IP69 dust and water resistance, which provides the phone protection against accidental water spills or even harsh weather conditions. And even if your phone gets wet, the phone offers the Splash Touch feature, which allows the device to be responsive even when wet.

And taking things a step further, the Reno15 Series also includes an Underwater Mode, allowing users to confidently capture photos underwater.

The device is available in a variety of colours, catering to all the preferences of every individual. The Reno15 comes in three colours, the Aurora White, Twilight Blue and Aurora Blue, which is the version that I received. Although, there are some other colour variations that are available in the other versions of the Reno15 Series. The Reno15 F includes an Afterglow Pink colour while the Reno15 Pro offers a Dusk Brown colour.

Though, I believe that every single one of the colour options are aesthetically pleasing and are sure to catch people’s eye.

Display

The OPPO Reno15 Series features a 6.59-inch FHD+ display which delivers crisp visuals and an enjoyable viewing experience for users. Furthermore, thanks to its ultra-thin screen bezels, the viewing experience becomes more immersive, making it great for watching videos or playing games.

In addition, the Reno15 Series also features a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and this ensures both a smooth and fluid interactive experience for users when they’re scrolling through social media or even when playing games.

Camera

Moving over to the highlight of the device, the camera features. The OPPO Reno15 boasts an incredible 50MP Ultra Wide Selfie Camera, which is OPPO’s Widest Selfie Camera thus far (up to 0.6x lens). Not only would you be able to easily capture wider group shots as well as the background, but every face in the frame will also be processed for maximum clarity, creating crisp shots. This is paired alongside the 50MP Ultra-Clear Main Camera and 50MP Telephoto Portrait Camera, ensuring that the pictures that you take will both be lifelike and with clarity.

As for the RAM and storage space, the Reno15 offers a 12GB RAM and includes Dynamic RAM up to 12GB for smooth and seamless operations on the device. Battery

When it comes to the battery life, the OPPO Reno15 Series offers a massive 6,500mAh battery, which ensures an all-day performance for both work and entertainment, whether you’re gaming or scrolling through social media. With this battery, you’ll be able to get up to 2.42 days of usage on just a single charge, and if you’re a gamer, then that’s up to 11.66 hours of MOBA gameplay.

And speaking of the gameplay, I wanted to test out the battery life of the device using two different means. The first was by playing games for an hour. The game that I chose for this test was Wuthering Waves. 

While playing the game, the phone was set to HyperBoost Mode in order to provide the best gaming experience while the game was played with the highest settings for a more immersive experience. As a result, 18% of the phone’s battery was consumed, which is a respectable amount considering everything.

Moving past gaming, I also tested the phone’s battery life by watching YouTube videos at 1440p for an hour long. Once the hour was up, it showed that the battery only consumed 5% which is very impressive as it shows the impressive endurance of the phone’s battery life, and this is exceptional news for those who watch videos for hours.

Even when the phone’s battery is low, there’s little to fear as the charging is just as impressive with its 80W SUPERVOOCTM Flash Charge, allowing the phone to be fully recharged in an instant. When measuring the charging speed of the Reno15, the phone was able to reach 100% in just 53 minutes, which is amazing considering the large battery size of the device.

Verdict

In conclusion, the OPPO Reno15 Series is an incredible new device which serves as an all-in-one creative partner for its users. The phone combines stylish design with powerful performances, making it an ideal companion. Not only does the addition of the 0.6x lens help make group shots easier, but the Popout feature also helps to unleash their creativity, allowing them to create both entertaining and impressive pictures.

The new Reno15 5G is priced RM1999 for its 12GB + 256GB variant while it costs RM2399 for the 12GB + 512GB version. Thus, if you’re looking for a device that’s not only packed with powerful features, but also one to help showcase your creativity, then look no further than the OPPO Reno15.
