HUAWEI Consumer Business Group (CBG) has launched the HUAWEI WATCH 5, the newest model in its WATCH Series. Since its debut in 2015, the series has combined advanced technology with sleek design. The WATCH 5 continues this tradition with features like innovative X-TAP multi-sensing technology, advanced health monitoring, intuitive gesture controls, and premium craftsmanship.

Precision Craftsmanship Meets Future-Forward Design

Inspired by the Kármán Line—the boundary between Earth and space—the HUAWEI WATCH 5 features a sleek, unified design available in two sizes: 42mm and 46mm. Both models combine polished finishes with detailed crowns for a refined look.

The 42mm model comes in new Sand Gold and Beige colors, while the 46mm is offered in Purple. Built for durability, the 42mm uses 904L stainless steel, and the 46mm uses aerospace-grade silver, which is lighter and stronger. Both sizes are also offered in minimalist 316L stainless steel versions. Each watch is topped with durable, clear spherical sapphire glass.

The HUAWEI WATCH 5 comes with three strap materials, titanium, fluoroelastomer, and composite materials. The new composite strap mimics leather’s texture while being odour-free, waterproof, and stain-resistant. The high-tech plain leather straps come in denim (beige) and silk (purple) textures, suiting a wide range of fashion styles.

HUAWEI X-TAP TECHNOLOGY: A New Era of Health Monitoring and Interaction 

The HUAWEI WATCH 5 features advanced Multi-sensing X-TAP technology, which combines ECG, PPG, and tactile sensors to offer fingertip-based health monitoring for greater accuracy and speed. This industry-first system improves data precision and allows users to access a full Health Glance report—covering metrics like heart rate variability, emotional wellbeing, and SpO2—in just 60 seconds by holding the sensor for three seconds.

X-TAP also enables pressure-sensitive touch controls and introduces fast, accurate fingertip SpO2 monitoring in under 10 seconds, benefiting from the fingertip's dense blood vessels and thinner skin for improved pulse wave detection.

Simple Gestures, Powerful Results

The HUAWEI WATCH 5 simplifies daily use with intuitive gesture controls like Double Slide and Double Tap, allowing users to manage calls, music, and camera functions hands-free—ideal when direct screen interaction isn’t possible. These gestures also work with select third-party app voice calls, offering versatile control.

The watch supports eSIM for phone-free connectivity, making it great for active lifestyles. Its dual-mode battery system offers flexibility, with the 46mm model lasting up to 4.5 days in Standard Mode (or 11 in Battery Saver Mode) and the 42mm lasting up to 3 days (or 7 in Saver Mode).
