A Chinese tech creator known as 小宁子 XNZ has captured the attention of gamers worldwide after unveiling the Ningtendo PXBOX 5 — a custom, all-in-one gaming console that combines a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2 into a single enclosure.

Designed as a proof-of-concept rather than a commercial product, the PXBOX 5 aims to solve a familiar gamer problem: hardware clutter. By housing three major gaming platforms inside one compact chassis, the project eliminates the need for multiple power cables, HDMI ports, and shelf space.

To keep the system compact, the creator used digital-only versions of the PlayStation and Xbox hardware. The console operates one platform at a time, powered by a shared 250-watt power supply and a single cooling fan. Switching between systems is handled via a physical button, allowing users to jump from one console to another in seconds.

Despite its complexity, the PXBOX 5 maintains a clean, minimalist design, complete with LED indicators that show which platform is currently active. The Nintendo Switch 2 module remains dockable, preserving its hybrid functionality.

While the PXBOX 5 is not for sale (obviously) — and realistically only achievable by highly skilled modders — it highlights a growing desire among gamers for more streamlined, unified setups. The project also subtly underscores a long-standing question in the gaming community: what if console ecosystems didn’t have to live in separate boxes?

For now, the PXBOX 5 stands as an impressive technical showcase — and a glimpse into a future many gamers would happily plug into.
