Nintendo and Puma have revealed a new collaborative collection based on the popular Switch game Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Yesterday, Puma dropped a simple teaser on its Twitter account, and Nintendo retweeted the post adding a caption, "Something new is on the horizon".
The special edition sneaker lineup will feature three options for fans: Wild Rider, Suede, and Future Rider. While Puma has provided some first looks of the Wild Rider collection to Sneaker Freaker, the other two looks are still in the wraps.
"Referencing the family-friendly Nintendo favourite, the Wild Rider is reimagined with natural colours and authentic graphics from the game. The suede panels on the toe box and heel add a touch of luxe, while a white PUMA stripe adds some subtle branding to the mix. Mini graphic characters dress most of the upper, with a brown PUMA tongue label remixed with a leaf graphic adding to the Animal Crossing theme," Sneaker Freaker noted.
In addition to the sneakers, Sneaker Freaker also shared an image of a hoodie featuring a number of villagers from Animal Crossing. The Animal Crossing x PUMA collection will be available for both adults and kids. As for the pricing and availability, we will have to wait until Puma to make an official announcement.
