New iPhone SE with 5G Support May Launch Sometime in March or April

If you're envious of friends around you using their latest iPhone 13 but it's way over your budget, Apple has the more affordable iPhone SE and it seems like the company is gearing up to release a 3rd generation model.

According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple is expected to host an event sometime in March or April, where a new iPhone SE with 5G support could be announced. "Apple's first virtual event of 2022 is coming up in just a few short months and is likely to take place in either March or April, I'm told," Gurman wrote in his "Power On" newsletter.

Previous leaks suggested that the upcoming device may be similar to the current model in terms of design but will have better specs. It's expected to feature a 4.7" Retina HD LCD display and a home button with an integrated fingerprint sensor. It could be powered by the Apple A15 chipset along with 3GB of RAM. The rear camera will include a 12MP single camera sensor with improved photography features. There could also be a Plus variant that will be equipped with 4GB of RAM.
