Netflix's Resident Evil Series Will Premiere on 14 July

Capcom's horror video game franchise, Resident Evil is getting a new Netflix series, which will premiere on 14 July.

Year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.

Titled Resident Evil, the 8-episode TV series stars Lance Reddick as Albert Wesker, Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Nuñez. It is produced by Constantin Film, which also produced the Resident Evil films franchise starring Milla Jovovich.

As of now, Netflix released three teaser images with the first (above) showing bubbles of blood. The other two display a vial of blood and a pill marked "JOY", all of which have a yellow backdrop.
