During "The Next playground" event, MSI has showcased its new Z690 motherboards, 12th Gen Intel Core gaming desktops, and the latest QD Premium Color Series monitors.
MSI Z690 Motherboards
The all-new MSI Z690 motherboards will support the latest PCIe 5.0 solution that provides 128 GB/s, which doubles the bandwidth of PCIe 4.0. The series also supports the DDR5 solution, which according to the MSI OC LAB test, has a 30% improvement of memory frequency compared to the DDR4. For storage, the motherboards offer up to five onboard M.2 slots, including a maximum of four M.2 Gen4 slots. MSI has included the EZ M.2 Clips for easy installation of the M.2 SSDs.
The MSI Z690 series have up to direct 19 phases VRM power with 105A SPS. The MEG series uses USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 with a transfer speed of up to 20 Gbps. As for the rear I/O, it supports Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 6E. As for cooling, the MEG and MPG series are equipped with a heat pipe that runs through the VRM heatsinks as well as an M.2 Shield Frozr with double-sided thermal. The MEG series also features an aluminum backplate for hardcore users.
12th Gen Intel Core Gaming Desktops
The new MSI gaming desktops are now equipped with Intel's 12th Gen Alder Lake processors with a hybrid architecture combining P-Core (Performance) and E-Core (Efficiency), which increases multi-threaded performance by up to 47% and gaming performance by 13%. The full lineup of the K series gaming desktops uses DDr5 memory with a read speed of up to 60% higher than the previous generation.
Additionally, the desktops come with Windows 11 and a Direct Storage technology, which helps players read games quickly, along with an Auto HDR function that improved SDR game scened to HDR quality. The new lineup of desktops includes the MEG Aegis Ti5, MEG Trident X, and MAG Codex X5.
Gaming Monitors
MSI has announced the QD Premium Color feature, which uses the Quantum dot film and made software optimisation that helps improve colour calibration. MSI has also announced the world's first 34" monitor with mini-LED technology created with AUO's AmLED solution. The monitor also features QD Premium Color.
MSI has also added new additions for console gamers - 32" and 55" OLED monitors - that support a high refresh rate and 4K resolution. The monitors will be released in 2022.
Modern Series All-in-One PC & PRO Desktop
The Modern AM242 and Modern AM272 Series All-in-One PCs feature eye care and ergonomic design, as well as noise cancellation technology. On the other hand, the PRO DP21 and PRO DP130 series are brand new business and productivity PCs that come with the latest 12 Gen Intel Core i7 processor, up to 64 GB of RAM, TPM 2.0, and Windows 11.
Summit Series Monitors
The Summit MS321 series monitors have eye care, ergonomic design, accurate colour display, and MSI's exclusive Productivity Intelligence (P.I.) App, which includes the True Color feature, KVM, Smart Brightness & Color Temperature, and active noise cancellation. The monitors feature a panel with 4K resolution, and cover 136% of the sRGB and 95% of the DCI-P3 colour gamuts.
Modern Series Monitors
The Modern series monitors will be available in 7 colour choices: ultramarine blue, fields of green, saliva-inducing red and yellow, elegant purple, sleek black, and white.
