LG is reportedly working on a device with a rollable display, codenamed Felix. According to 91mobiles, the Motorola phone will appear like regular devices on the outside. The ones we've seen before have screens that can be expanded horizontally.
However, Motorola's first rollable will reportedly have a screen that expands vertically. In the compact mode, a third of its screen can be wrapped around a spindle at the bottom and facing backward, which means Felix will be pocket-friendly. The software designed for the phone is tested on a modified version of the Motorola Edge 30 Pro as the company doesn't have a working hardware prototype for it. Since the rollable is still in the very early stages of development, it probably won't appear in the market within this year.
