Microsoft Reveals New Surface Laptop SE for Students

Yesterday, Microsoft officially unveiled a new Surface laptop that's intended for students - the Microsoft Surface Laptop SE - coming with the new Windows 11 SE. A lower version of Windows 11, Windows 11 SE is a new student edition designed with features and apps for educational purposes.

The 16:9 Surface laptop features an 11.6" display with a 1366 x 768 resolution. It has a 720 p webcam and stereo speakers that students will need for online classes. It also includes accessibility tools for students that have vision, hearing, or speech problems. For connectivity, it has a single USB-A port, one USB-C port, a regular barrel-type DC connector, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Surface Laptop SE comes in two variants. The first one sports the Intel Celeron N4010 chipset along with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage while the other variant is equipped with the Intel Celeron 4120 chipset along with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Both variants have a battery life of around 16 hours. The laptop will retail starting from US$250 (~RM1,038).
