Microsoft Is Testing "Night Mode" on Xbox Consoles

Remember when you spend hours on your Xbox games but realize you're blinding because of the lights especially during wee hours? Well, it seems it won't be a big problem anymore as Microsoft is working on a new night mode for Xbox consoles. The night mode will allow you to dim the screen, power button, and the controller's light.

To begin, you will be able to customise the night mode including adjusting the dimming level and applying an optional blue light filter, which will help to reduce eye strain. The night mode also allows you to dim the LED brightness of the controller and the Xbox power button, or turn it off completely. You can also disable HDR to avoid bright images in this mode.

In addition, you can choose to either manually toggle the night mode feature or schedule it at fixed times or automatically based on sunset and sunrise. According to The Verge, Microsoft is currently testing the new feature with Xbox Insiders.
