Microsoft Announces Xbox Wireless Headset, Drops on March 16

Microsoft has announced the Xbox Wireless Headset, which will be released on March 16.

Priced at US$99.99 (~RM404), the Xbox Wireless Headset supports spatial sound technologies like Dolby Atmos, Windows Sonic, and DTS Headphone:X. The mic features voice isolation, and there is both an auto-mute feature and a manual mute button. The headphone can use the Xbox Accessories app for audio fine-tuning.

Build-wise, the Xbox Wireless Headset has an inner steel metal band and polyurethane leather ear cushions. The headphone also has rotating earcup dials for volume and game/chat balance tweaking and an adjustable mic. The headphone’s battery provides up to 15 hours of use and can be charged with the included USB-C charging cable.

The headphone can connect to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles via Xbox Wireless radio or Bluetooth. Bluetooth lets it connect to mobile and Windows 10 PCs as well, with the latter also having an Xbox Wireless adapter or a compatible USB-C cable as other connection options.

While the Xbox Wireless Headset is dropping fairly soon, we’re sadly unlikely to see an official release for it here in Malaysia like the Xbox consoles. Still, maybe it’ll pop up at some local retailers like the consoles themselves.
