Malaysia Wins 3 Gold Medals In Commonwealth Esports Championship 2022

Team Malaysia took home a total of three gold medals during the Commonwealth Esports Championship 2022 at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham.

Malaysia took home the gold medal in the women’s Dota 2 event, defeating the English Women’s team in two straight games and won 2-0 in a best-of-three matchup.

The Malaysian team comprised Tan “Shizuma” Lyn Xhin, Wong “HG” Wei Sian, Stephanie “Auroraa” Lim, Nadrah “Nada” Saufi and Bette “iStarx” Chia.


Malaysia defeated England once more in the Dota 2 (Open) Grand Finals, taking home gold with a 2-1 score.

The team consisted of William “MangO” Yeoh, Denise “Wonder’boy” DanialAbdullah, Chung “Ws`” Wei Shen, Ahmad “Ahyad” Ayhad Husam, Pang “ponyo” Sze Xuan, and Yong “LOyd” Bing Jie.


The final gold medal was in the eFootball (Open) Grand Finals, with Nor Haikal Noh representing Malaysian Super League champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) defeating Scotland 2-0.
