Louis Vuitton Reveals New Tambour Horizon Light Up Smartwatch

Louis Vuitton may be launching yet another collection of its Tambour Horizon Connected watches - the Tambour Horizon Light Up - which now features its own customised operating system and LED lights. According to Gadgets and Wearables, the 2022 version is due to launch on 7 January with a set of 24 LED lights around the always-on-display.

The upcoming smartwatch will be powered by the Snapdragon Wear 4100 platform. While there's still no name revealed about the custom OS, it will reportedly have a touchscreen and a swipe-based UI. Users will be able to access notifications, metrics, settings, and an interesting "My Travel" screen by swiping in different directions. "My Travel" screen is where users can store plans and boarding passes. It's expected to come with some basic health trackers and since it's an haute couture device, we expect there would be various customisable watch faces.

The 1.2" smartwatch will retain its predecessor's 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Using its proprietary operating system, the new collection will be compatible with iPhones, Android, and HarmonyOS devices. LV has yet to reveal the pricing of the upcoming wearable but we expect it to exceed €3,000 (~RM14,262).
