Logitech unveils new webcam, Brio 500 with well-designed privacy shutter

A webcam designed to serve the way many of us work


Logitech have launched a smart design webcam that is suitable for work and play. The new Brio 500 comes with a cylindrical design just like the streamer-focused StreamCam design flanked by a beamforming microphones that reduce the background noise during calls. What's more about this webcam is it has a privacy shutter design that can be brought down by twisting the end cap of the webcam so you can be sure that someone can't spy on you through the camera.


Besides, the new Brio 500 featuring a 4MP sensor with a 1080p resolution with up to 90 degree field of view that can be tuned down to 78 or 60 degree for a tighter view. There is also a Show Mode can be toggled on where the camera output will flip itself when the webcam is tilted downward facing the working space. This smart feature allow users to showcase products, notes and more, literally anything you wanted to show on your workspace.

Lastly, the new Brio 500 webcam is priced at $129 which is about RM583 in Malaysia with the colour choice of off-white, graphite and rose.
