Design
The new Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 comes in a sleek and thin design, one which allows you to be able to easily place it into your bags. The cover also features a YOGA logo on the lower right corner of the body as well as a small Lenovo logo on the top left corner.
In addition to this, to ensure that users will be able to open the laptop easily, the front of the laptop protrudes out slightly, ensuring that you could open the laptop even when using a finger.
The Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 comes with a dimension of 16.64mm x 317.72mm x 222.13mm to complement its sleek design and it also weighs around 1.49kg for easier portability as you’ll be able to carry it around from place to place easily.
The Yoga 7i 2-in-1 is built with an ergonomic unibody design, allowing the laptop to be used in different modes to prepare for any situation. For example, you will be able to use the laptop regularly in order to watch your favourite shows or YouTube videos, but you may also use it in its tablet mode in order to sketch out designs. Finally, you may also flip the laptop over to use it in its display mode in order to enjoy a different and comfortable viewing experience, as you’ll be able to save more space compared to its traditional laptop mode.
Furthermore, when purchasing the Yoga 7i 2-in-1, you may choose to purchase a Lenovo Digital Pen, which costs RM 50, and it can be used for drawing and sketches as well as scroll through the screen. Overall, I am generally a fan of the simplistic design for the device. It currently has two colour choices for you to choose from, Storm Grey, and the one we received, Tidal Teal.
Display
The Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 is a 14-inch laptop that comes with an aspect ratio of 16:10, offering more screen real estate compared to devices with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It also comes with a decent refresh rate of 120Hz, allowing you to be able to play games smoothly. In addition, the laptop also ensures that you’ll be able to enjoy an immersive visual experience when gaming or watching videos as it comes with an OLED screen with a resolution of 2.8K, it is also built in with Dolby Vision technology for higher contrast and more vivid colours.
In addition, the laptop also comes with a 100% DCI-P3, which makes it suitable for content creation as well as this will enhance your videos by making them more visually striking by increasing the colour saturation and vibrancy.
However, with only 400 nits for its peak brightness, the display would not be as vibrant, especially when working outside. This is especially negative as the laptop screen comes with a glossy display, which results in unwanted reflections to appear on the screen. Additionally, the screen also has a fingerprint magnet surface, which makes fingerprint marks to be more noticeable.
Furthermore, the laptop also comes with a touch screen feature as it is built with a 10-point multi-touch glass panel, this allows users to be able to easily sketch and draw, especially when using the laptop’s tablet mode. My overall impression of using the touch screen feature can be considered a good one as the laptop easily detects the stylus whenever I use it, and this is especially the case whenever I draw on the laptop, as I’m able to draw without dealing with any issues.
Audio
Aside from just utilising Dolby Vision, the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 also utilises Dolby Atmos technology for its audio system coming from a pair of 2W speakers. With this, users will be able to enjoy 3D Cinematic Sound Experience, which provides a more immersive audio experience whenever you’re watching your favourite YouTube videos or Netflix series.

Connectivity
When it comes to its connectivity, the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 provides varied options, fitting two Thunderbolt 4 ports on the left side, both of which are able to carry out the task of charging the laptop and other devices with ease, alongside a 3.5mm combo audio jack and an HDMI 2.1 port. Meanwhile, the right-side of the laptop comes with a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port and a microSD card slot. The variety of ports that is provided is decent, especially with a pair of Thunderbolt 4 ports, allowing greater flexibility when carrying out tasks.

Performance
Powering this incredible laptop is the Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 155H processor with a total of 16 cores internally, consisting of 6 P-cores of up to 4.8GHz, 8 E-cores up to 3.8GHz and 2 LPE-cores up to 2.5GHz. This allows the device to run at high-performance at all times, and this will help ensure that your laptop will be able to handle even the most demanding tasks, such as running high graphic games or graphic design, without facing any issues whatsoever. Additionally, it also comes with 32GB of RAM installed that has been soldered while also coming with up to 1TB PCIe SSD Gen 4 for storage space.
In order to test out how well the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 is able to handle demanding and graphically intensive tasks, I decided to run several tests on it. Using Geekbench 6, the results provided a decent score of 2172 in Single-core score mode and 11109 points in Multi-core score.
Furthermore, with its Intel® Arc™ Graphics that is built into the laptop, the laptop can be used for gaming, even if it is not its main function. I used the Time Spy Score as a benchmark to determine the graphics and CPU of the laptop, and the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 managed to obtain an average score of 3465. This score highlights the point that while the laptop can be used for gaming, it isn’t the main highlight of it.
Asides from that, the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 also comes with the Copilot feature, and the laptop even has a Copilot key on the keyboard for easier accessibility to your AI assistant.
Lenovo Vantage
As with most Lenovo laptops, the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 also comes with Lenovo Vantage, an app that helps to optimise the performance of your device.
One feature that comes with Lenovo Vantage is being able to adjust the different modes of the laptop, which would optimise the performance of the laptop based on your current activity.
▲Adjust through various modes for optimal performance
Besides that, you’ll also be able to adjust and manage the battery life of your laptop with the Power Mode. The Power Mode offers three modes for users to choose between. The Adaptive power mode, Battery Saver and Performance mode. When using Performance Mode, the laptop’s fan speed and power consumption will be greater.
Aside from just the performance of the laptop, you will also be able to adjust the sound output of your device in order to match whatever situation that you are in. For example, if you’re in the mood to listen to music, you can set the output to Music and listen to rich and detailed audio from the laptop.

Battery Life
In terms of its battery life, the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 consists of a longer battery life, capable of lasting the whole day with only a single charge as it is built in with a battery capacity of 71Whr. Furthermore, it also comes with a Rapid Charge Express, which will enable your laptop to charge faster while it’s shut down or in resting mode. With this feature, you’ll be able to get a runtime of 3 hours with just a 15-minute charge.
Verdict
