Lenovo Showcases Latest Legion Lineup at Legion Hands-On Event, Bringing Power and Precision to Gamers in Malaysia

Lenovo leveled up the gaming experience in Malaysia with a showcase of its latest Legion portfolio at Lenovo Legion Hands-On Event, featuring AI-tuned performance, advanced cooling, and immersive display technology designed for serious gamers.

At the event, the Lenovo Legion Pro series demonstrated next-gen power and precision built for competitive gamers in Malaysia. The lineup combined the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra processors with NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ graphics to deliver desktop-class performance in a laptop form factor.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i is powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 275HX processors and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 50-Series Laptop GPUs (configurable up to RTX™ 5090), paired with a 16″ WQXGA OLED panel up to 240 Hz and advanced Legion thermal technology for sustained performance.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i features up to Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 275HX processor and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5070, plus a 16″ WQXGA OLED display up to 165 Hz. The Pro series highlights a new aggressive design featuring massive vents that push heat out from the Coldfront Hyper thermal system that combines turbocharged fans and oversized 3D copper heat pipes in a chamber over the processors that are sealed away from other components. This innovative thermal solution efficiently channels heat away from the laptop body while decreasing exhaust noise.

Also showcased was the Lenovo Legion 9i, Lenovo’s most powerful gaming laptop to date. Built with up to Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 processors and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 50 Series GPUs, the Lenovo Legion 9i combined cutting-edge performance with a lightweight forged carbon design and integrated liquid-cooling technology. The Legion Coldfront Vapor system delivers relentless cooling with smart fan tech, AI sound sync, and Fn+Q airflow optimization. 

The 18” PureSight display on the device features up to 4K resolution in 2D, with optional 2K 3D support for designers who regularly work in 3D modeling to seamlessly realize their work in three dimensions without the need for a headset or separate 3D-capable display. The 3D display uses a combination of eye-tracking and lenticular lens array to deliver a 3D image without the need for special glasses. Lenovo 3D Studio likewise supports 3D viewing for a myriad of video, image, and streaming formats in both side-by-side and top-bottom arrangements. The software suite also supports 3D display for 30 games and myriad other creation apps.

The Lenovo Legion 7i is a thinner, lighter, all-metal gaming laptop, now 7% lighter and 10% thinner – designed for gamers actively studying in STEM programs and fields. It is a premium, portable device that supports power-efficient performance and rapid charging up to 50% in 30 minutes. 

The Lenovo Legion 5i is the choice for university gamers in non-STEM programs looking for one laptop to do it all in a thin, light package that slips easily into a backpack. With a new 15” footprint, the Lenovo Legion 5i features up to Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor. At up to 13% lighter and thinner than the previous generation, the laptop maximizes portability while retaining more than enough power to play AAA titles, perfect for university students who need one laptop to do it all.

Also featured at the showcase was the Lenovo Legion Go 2, Lenovo’s next-generation handheld gaming PC that was recently announced at IFA 2025. Powered by up to AMD Ryzen™ Z2 processor and paired with an 8.8″ WUXGA 144 Hz OLED display, Lenovo Legion Go 2 advances the portable gaming experience with longer battery life, improved ergonomics, and enhanced detachable controllers. Designed to bring PC-level gaming performance into a handheld device, it strengthens Lenovo’s commitment to expanding the Legion portfolio into new and versatile ways to play.

The Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3 offers a compact yet powerful handheld gaming experience with its 8.8″ 2.5K (2560×1600) display. Powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Gen 3 processor with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage, this Legion Tab offers Elite Gaming tech with Ray Tracing for stunning realism. Gamers can now enjoy ultra-smooth 165 FPS and lag-free graphics, making the tablet a powerhouse gaming machine in their pocket.

The Lenovo Legion Glasses Gen 2 extends gaming beyond traditional screens, using micro-OLED displays to project a private 126″ virtual screen when connected via USB-C. Lightweight and portable, they offer an immersive way to game or stream content on the go.
