Lenovo Launches ThinkPad P15v; Announces More ThinkBook Devices for Malaysia

More Lenovo products are making their way to Malaysia, with three ThinkBook devices to arrive in April. The company has also launched the ThinkPad P15v Mobile Workstation, which is now available in the country from RM6,699.

The ThinkPad P15v is powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core mobile processor and has an NVIDIA Quadro 4GB P620 GPU. It comes with Windows 10 Pro, a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display, 512GB PCIe NVMe, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. Lenovo says that its 6-cell, 68Wh battery can last for almost 10 hours on a single charge. The ThinkPad also features Ultra Performance Mode, which bypasses the usual restrictions on acoustics and temperatures and can be used when the device is close to a power source.

As for the incoming ThinkBook devices, they consist of the ThinkBook 13s Gen 2 i, ThinkBook 14s Yoga i, and ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 i, which have a starting price of RM3,599, RM3,819, and RM2,519 respectively. The ThinkBook 13s Gen 2 i is an Intel Evo platform with a 13.3-inch 16:10 display with a 90% screen-to-body ratio. There is also an optional WQXGA display. Other features include Thunderbolt 4, optional PCIe Gen 4 storage, and microphones with private, shared, and environmental sound audio modes.

Meanwhile, the 11th Gen Intel processor-powered ThinkBook 14s Yoga i offers Smart Pen synchronization, with the note-taking app opening automatically when the Pen is pulled in modern standby mode. Additionally, picking up the pen immediately readies Windows Ink shortcuts when logged into Windows 10. Other features include Thunderbolt 4 and USB-C connectivity. The device sports a ThinkBook mineral grey colour scheme, but also has a limited-edition Abyss Blue option.

Finally, the ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 i features ThinkBook wireless earbuds integration, with automatic charging stored and instant connection to the laptop audio when removed. The earbuds have dual mics and environmental noise cancellation, and can be muted and unmuted via double tapping. Other features of the ThinkBook include Modern Standby mode, a service hot key, and the option of dual SSD or a HDD+SSD storage combination.
