Lenovo has announced the new IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro in Malaysia, coming with two variants: one with a 16” screen priced from RM4,899 and the other with a 14” screen priced from RM3,429. In conjunction with the launch, Lenovo is running the #SeetheBigPicture contest from 6 August on its official Facebook page. A lucky winner will be selected to win the 16-inch IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro. There will also be ten consolation prizes up for grabs.
Powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 5000 mobile processor and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 1650 graphics, the 16” IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro is targeted for students in need for a device with high rendering speed and crisp graphics processing abilities. Weighing 1.9 kg with 18.4 mm thickness, the laptop is built with a full aluminium chassis. It comes in two colour options: Storm Grey and Cloud Grey. For connectivity, it has a HDMI port and an SD card reader slot. Fortunately for students, it also comes with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019 pre-installed.
The 16” IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro has a 16:10 ratio widescreen that supports 2.5K resolution and 100% sRGB IPS colour gamut with a refresh rate up to 120 Hz. With its TÜV Rheinland certification, the laptop has an anti-blue light technology for students who spend a long period of time in front of the screen.
For high-quality audio, the device is equipped with Dolby Atmos dual speakers. In addition, it has the Flip-to-Boot (zero-touch boot-up) feature that recognizes users’ facial features for immediate login with its Glance by Mirametrix software. Users can also push the laptop’s performance limit with the Intelligent Thermal Solution that will optimize settings for maximum battery life by just pressing the Fn + Q keys.
On top of that, Lenovo is also offering the Lenovo Premium Care service for its users. The service will allow users to get help from trained technicians as well as a free annual PC health check.
The 14” IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro is now available on the Lenovo Malaysia Official Online Store with a starting price of RM3,429 or an option of a RM296 monthly instalment plan for a period of 12 months. Meanwhile, the 16” IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro can be purchased on the Lenovo Malaysia Official Online Store with a starting price of RM3,599. Consumers can also opt for a RM300 monthly instalment plan for 12 months. The device is also available on Lazada and Shopee with a retail price from RM4,899.
