LaLaport BBCC Unlocks a New World of Fandom with ACG BASE!

LaLaport BBCC has officially introduced ACG BASE, a unique space dedicated to anime, comics, games, and urban pop culture. Created for both devoted fans and newcomers, ACG BASE turns the mall into a lively gathering spot that celebrates creativity, imagination, and community.

LaLaport BBCC’s new ACG BASE marks a major step in its transformation into a Japanese-inspired lifestyle hub, introducing fresh pop-culture experiences that reshape the urban retail scene. Now the largest dedicated ACG space in Malaysia, Level 2 has become a vibrant playground where fans can shop, dine, explore, and connect through over 20 stores featuring top Japanese brands, exclusive merch, and interactive concepts.

The highlight is the permanent animate store—Japan’s leading anime retailer—offering authentic collectibles across a 3,900 sq ft space, alongside a refreshed “Only Shop” dedicated to limited-edition series-specific items. The LG1 floor also features a rotating themed café for constantly new experiences.

Adding further excitement, KLP48 will perform daily at their official KLP48 Theatre, giving fans a dedicated venue to engage with the Malaysian sister group of Japan’s AKB48.

Other stores at ACG BASE include Bad Egg Club, Dimension Poptown, Doko Koko zones, K+ by Kadokawa Gempak Starz, KOBO 7, Mori Mory, NOT ONLY TOY, ORB Café, Photoism PLAY, Vibe Max, Xumi Good, and more. The full precinct is set to be completed by the end of 2025 with major anchor tenants rolling out from mid-October onward.
