I’m not sure exactly when the Epic Game Store’s weekly free games page updated to display Jurassic World Evolution. If this tweet is any indication, however, then it looks like this business management game from 2018 is the platform’s first weekly free game of 2021 for us in Malaysia.
In Jurassic World Evolution, you’re put in charge of one of the Muertes archipelago islands. This means that you’ll have to bioengineer dinosaurs that “react intelligently to the world” and also make choices involving the Science, Entertainment, or Security divisions.
The game’s description reads, “Play with life itself to give your dinosaurs unique behaviors, traits and appearances, then contain and profit from them to fund your global search for lost dinosaur DNA.
“Control the big picture with deep management tools or go hands-on to confront challenges on the ground or in the air. Expand your islands and choose your own journey in an all-new narrative featuring iconic characters from across the franchise and decades of Jurassic lore at your fingertips.”
Jurassic World Evolution will be free until midnight January 7, after which it’ll be replaced by Crying Suns, a roguelite with space exploration and tactical battles.
