Japan's First Esports Hotel to Open in Osaka Next April

If you were looking for yet another reason to visit Japan, your prayers have been answered. e-ZONe Denno Kukan (the Japanese term for Cyberspace), the country's first ever esports hotel, is set to open in April 2020.

Love the concept, but can't say the same about the colour scheme

The hotel is a whopping 8 stories tall, with 3 stories dedicated entirely to esports, housing over 70 high-end PCs and live-streaming equipment for visitors to enjoy.

Floors 4 to 8 will house guestrooms, with a total of 94 beds available for tuckered out gamers. I'm tempted to make a joke about carrying your love interest to bed after carrying them in game, but we all know that true gamers are virgins anyway. (I kid, don't report me please.)

Why do you need beds when 'no win no sleep' anyway

The hotel will be located in the Nipponbashi district of Osaka, where both Capcom and SNK, the granddaddies of the Fighting Game Community are located. If you're a fan looking to go on a pilgrimage to the birthplace of Japan's FGC, this is it.

No word on pricing yet, but it's likely that it will be on the more affordable side, considering how there will be shared shower facilities in the basement, and how the hotel's target audience leans towards the younger (and poorer) side of the spectrum.

The lighting certainly helps with the illusion of escaping into cyberspace

If you're interested in dropping by the next time you visit Japan, you can check out the exact location as well as more details on their official website.
