inDrive Confirms APAD Licensing Approval and Celebrates Top Drivers at 2025 Platinum Drivers Awards!

inDrive confirmed it has successfully passed APAD’s three-month licensing review, securing approval to continue operating in Malaysia. The announcement coincided with the 2025 Platinum Drivers Awards, which honoured top drivers from Klang Valley, Penang, and Johor Bahru during the company’s largest driver recognition event to date.
More than 150 drivers were celebrated at the finale of the nationwide Platinum Drivers Giveaway, receiving prizes such as cars, motorcycles, smartphones, fuel vouchers, and holiday packages. The top winner completed 857 rides in one month, while the campaign also saw a 7% increase in completed rides, highlighting strong driver participation.
inDrive Receives APAD’s Confirmation to Continue Operations

At the event, inDrive announced it had successfully completed APAD’s three-month review and received approval to continue operating in Malaysia, reaffirming its commitment to meeting all regulatory and operational requirements. The company highlighted ongoing improvements to internal processes, documentation, and collaboration with authorities to ensure safe and reliable services.
Driver Operations Manager Azlan Anwar thanked the Ministry of Transport and APAD for their support, noting that the approval enables inDrive to continue supporting drivers through its low-commission model, helping them earn sustainably while maintaining strong compliance and long-term stability in Malaysia.
Continued Investment in Drivers and Mobility Access
Following the approval, inDrive will strengthen its presence in Malaysia by enhancing driver onboarding, improving document checks, conducting regular audits, and expanding driver-support programmes, while continuing to promote safe, inclusive, and community-focused mobility initiatives.
The Platinum Drivers Giveaway will return in the first half of 2026 with expanded rewards and engagement efforts. Azlan highlighted that drivers remain central to inDrive’s mission, with ongoing investments aimed at recognising their efforts and building a fair, transparent, and sustainable ride-hailing ecosystem, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to Malaysia.
