Huawei has announced its new HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro. Revealed during the HUAWEI Mate40 Series Online Global Launch, the earphones are described as “the world’s first intelligent dynamic noise-cancellation TWS earphones”.
The FreeBuds Pro has a hybrid active noise-cancellation technology for detecting external and in-ear noise environments, which allows it to reduce up to 40dB of background noise. Huawei says that the earphones cover sound frequencies of between 20Hz to 20kHz.
In addition, the earphones have a 3-mic system and can be paired with Huawei devices with EMUI 11 or higher for audio recording purposes. “When using a smartphone to record a vlog, users simply move away from the smartphone to stay inside the camera’s field of capture,” says the press release. “HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro can be transformed into a two-way audio equipment with high-quality recording.”
Aside from the FreeBuds Pro, Huawei also launched several other wearables such as the HUAWEI X GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear II, FreeBuds Studio, FreeLace Pro, and FreeBuds 3i. The FreeBuds Studio is described as “the world's first headphones with Intelligent Dynamic Noise Cancellation”, while the HUAWEI X GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear II offers a semi-open speaker and minimized audio leakage.
The FreeBuds Pro is now available at Huawei’s online store and at retailers. It comes in Silver Frost, Ceramic White, and Carbon Black in Malaysia and costs RM699. Huawei is offering a promotion for the product until January 31, 2021, with every purchase of the FreeBuds Pro providing buyers with an “exclusive gift” and a chance to win a range of prizes including a Proton X50.
