The After 5 Gaming League (A5GL) is back for a second season, and boy, are things getting hyped around here. With quite a number of special guests as well as a prize pool of up to RM20,000 (that’s four zeros) up for grabs, there’s little reason to skip on this one. What is A5GL you ask? Here’s a quick roundup to fill you in.
What Is A5GL?
The result of a collab between Acer Predator and Intel, A5GL is slated to be a departure from traditional sports, where company-centred teams (made up of corporate employees of all levels) duke it out in their game of choice, be it CS:GO or Dota 2.
The top 2 winners of the Dota 2 tournament also stand a chance to compete in the Grand Finals at PVP @ Singapore Comic Con, which will be held at the gorgeous Marina Bay Sands.
Not only does it even out the corporate playing field, as everyone from the kulis to the bosses must work together to achieve victory, but it is also a fantastic team building activity where you and your team stand a chance to win a share of the RM20,000 prize pool. The best part? Participation is FREE!
Some Malaysian personalities have also been invited as special guests to this event, soif you can successfully jio your boss and a few coworkers to participate, you could meet them at the event as well!
Special guests include: Leonard “Yoyolee” Lee, Momoko “I’m Momoko” Wong, Micho the Haram-Bae and Miku Kyuketsuki
