Hi-Rez Previews New Rogue Company Content and More

Hi-Rez Studios has offered a preview of what fans can expect from their games in 2021, including new content for their free-to-play shooter Rogue Company.

Rogue Company is set to receive a new game mode called Wingman sometime in the coming week (at the time of writing, which was January 9). It’s a 2v2 mode that will launch with two “skirmish” maps, including the industrial Depot and the favela-inspired District. In addition, the game’s first season of the year will introduce a new Rogue called Kestrel. Kestrel is an India-born mercenary and “fashion icon” who utilizes advanced explosive-launching mini-drones.

More details on Kestrel will be released over the coming weeks in the lead-up to Season One’s launch. As for other Season One content, expect a new map set on a hidden base in the South Pacific called Hollows, a new ranked system, and the Year One pass which unlocks the next eight Rogues and an exclusive legendary skin.

Other Hi-Rez titles are also due for some new additions. Hero shooter Paladins will get a slithery Frontline champion called Yagorath in February, some map reworks, and event passes. Meanwhile, MOBA Smite will get its eighth season, Dawn of Babylon, in January, with new characters like Tiamat and Gilgamesh to be added. There will also be a new Conquest map and a new mode called Slash, which is a combination of Siege and Clash.

You can check out the full preview in the embedded video above.
