Here’s the Entire Tokyo 2020: Opening Ceremony Video Game Music Tracklist

The Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony has reminded the world of many iconic songs from video games including Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Sonic the Hedgehog, and many others.

The Greek athletes entered the stadium first, accompanied by Roto's theme from the Dragon Quest series. Meanwhile, the songs from Final Fantasy would probably be the most familiar to the Westerners. While fans rejoiced about the amount of legendary video game songs that made it to the opening ceremony, many couldn't help but wonder about the absence of the iconic songs from Nintendo's games like Mario Bros., Pokemon, and The Legend of Zelda - though perhaps it may just be copyright issues and nothing more.
