Gigabyte has announced their new Z590 motherboard lineup that supports 11th Gen Intel Core processors.
These new motherboards feature an up-to-20-phase digital power VRM design, an improved Fins-Array II heatsink design, as well as up to a 10-layer PCB for better heat dissipation. They utilise Daisy Chain memory routing with an anti-interference design to improve the memory overclocking, stability, and overall memory performance.
Selected motherboards also offer a "feature-rich I/O with an integrated I/O shield as well as the newest Thermal Guard II design, Smart Fan 6 and much more."
The Gigabyte Z590 Aorus motherboards also feature PCIe 4.0-grade PCBs, PCIe slots, M.2 slots which enable speeds of up to 7000 MB/s. RAID configurations are possible and provide an access rate of more than 20,000MB/s. Meanwhile, Gigabyte's patented Thermal Guard II double-sided heat dissipation solution provides optimal cooling to the PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD modules to prevent thermal throttling.
To unleash the full overclocking potential and power of the latest-gen processors, these motherboards feature Tantalum Polymer capacitors and "an advanced power design which can deliver up to 2100 Amps and provide the best power balance, with up to 20+1 phases where each of them can hold up to 100 amps with its DrMOS power stages design."
As for memory configuration, the Gigabyte Z590 Aorus motherboards support single-slot 32GB memory as well as dual channel configurations with a high-speed, stable overclocked RAM performance boost above XMP 5000MHz.
Other features include extensive user customisation, LED lighting, and Q-Flash Plus, which allows uses to flash a BIOS file without installing a CPU, RAM, GPU, and other peripherals.
