This week, expect off-road racing, car chases, and a trip to El Presidente’s island(s), all on November 6.
The latest title in Codemasters’ Dirt series, Dirt 5 will feature over 70 routes set across 10 locations including New York and Brazil, while its off-road vehicle roster includes “900bhp sprint cars. Rallycross, GT, trophy trucks, buggies muscle cars”, according to the Steam page. Game modes include a Career mode which features Troy Baker and Nolan North, local split-screen for up to four players, and up-to-12-player online multiplayer with objective-based modes. A Photo Mode is also included. Dirt 5 will be released on Xbox One, PS4, and Steam on November 6, with next-gen console releases to follow later in the month.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered
A remake of Criterion’s 2010 racing/car chase game, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered will bring players back to Seacrest County, where they can take on the role of an illegal racer or a cop with access to helicopter support, spikes, and more. Aside from the main content, this remaster also includes the “additional main DLC” and has crossplay support. The game will be released on November 6 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch.
Tropico 6 - Nintendo Switch Edition
After launching for PC and current-gen (soon-to-be last gen) consoles back in 2019, Tropico 6 is making its way to Switch in 2020. The city builder puts you in the role of El Presidente, a dictator, and expands the scope of previous games to include multiple islands. Aside from building infrastructure and transportation, the game will let you send agents to other countries to “steal world wonders and monuments”, customize your palace, use a “revised research system focusing on the political aspects of being the world’s greatest dictator, and have election speeches. There’s also four-player online multiplayer, and the Switch version includes an exclusive palace design and tourist costume. The game will be released on November 6. #gatc #gamesaroundthecorner
