This week, we'll be getting a few game titles where players are to go on battles and wars, either leading armies of mushrooms, hiring battle brothers, or fighting monsters in a world of pre-Viking Norse lore.
Mushroom Wars 2
Set in a fictional woodland world, where armies of mushrooms face off in dynamic real-time strategy battles, players will pick a hero to lead the armies in a variety of multiplayer modes with leagues, ranked matches, and award systems or single-player campaigns with customizable difficulty settings. Mushroom Wars 2 features 4 campaign episodes, one for each tribe of mushroom folk, and competitive multiplayer for up to 4 people with a two-player cooperative mode.
First released in 2016, Mushroom Wars 2 will be released on PlayStation on 12 January.
Battle Brothers
Battle Brothers feature a strategic world map and a tactical combat layer. Players can freely travel the map to earn coins, find places worth looting, enemies worth pursuing, or towns to resupply, and hire men. "Once you engage a hostile party the game will switch to a tactical map where the actual fighting takes place as detailed turn-based combat."
Battle Brothers will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on 13 January.
God of War
Living as a man in the realm of Norse Gods and monsters, Kratos now must teach his son Atreus to fight and survive in the world. The PC version now comes with enhancements like 4K resolution, higher resolution shadows, improved screen space reflections, the addition of GTAO and SSDO, and more. For those who own an Nvidia GeForce GPU, it also supports DLSS and Nvidia Reflex.
God of War is coming to Steam on 14 January.
