First Impression & Unboxing the HUAWEI nova 11 Pro

I bet you have seen the most eye-catching new HUAWEI smartphone popping up on your social media feeds a few times already and yes, min min is talking about the upcoming HUAWEI nova 11 Pro which will launch soon in Malaysia on 6th July 2023. In the meantime, min min will unbox and share my first impression of the nova 11 Pro earlier in time so you get to know some new features of the device before watching the live stream.

The HUAWEI nova 11 Pro comes in two color choices, Green and Black, overall I do feel that the HUAWEI nova 11 Pro Green color is a quite unique and fashionable choice especially when it comes in vegan leather material, giving a sense of luxury and premium quality just like the HUAWEI flagship line.

In the box, you'll find these items below:

  • HUAWEI nova 11 Pro

  • 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge Charger

  • USB Type-C Cable

  • Flexible Clear Case

  • Quick Start Guide & Warranty card

  • SIM Ejector

The nova 11 Pro equips with the first-ever nova Monogram Vegan leather Design, offering the best skin-soothing texture and making it more comfortable to hold and wear-resistant when compared with glass or plastic cover.

For the camera capabilities, the HUAWEI nova 11 Pro houses a 50MP Ultra Vision Camera and 8MP Ultra-Wide Macro Camera in a camera setup that looks similar to the P60's camera module. What I loved about the camera ring design is that you can see the words that indicate the camera features like 50MP RYYB Sensor, XD Fusion Pro, and Laser Focus around the ring which is quite cool to have instead of a plain textured design.

But that's not all, the nova 11 Pro boasts a dual front camera setup (60MP Ultra Wide Autofocus Camera, 8MP Portrait Close-up Camera) flanked by HUAWEI's innovative XD Portrait technology to ensure every portrait pictures you take will result in more detailed and authentic.

Moreover, the nova 11 Pro is also the first-ever nova series to receive the flagship treatment from HUAWEI which is the Kunlun Glass display, offering more solid protection to consumers given how easily breakable curved display is. Therefore, with the Kunlun glass now equipped, you wouldn't need screen protection now!

Aside from the Kunlun glass, the nova 11 Pro sports a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED Flawless Curved Display with a resolution of 2652 x 1200 to deliver the smoothest viewing experience whether you're gaming, streaming videos, or scrolling through social media. What's more, the 1440 High-Frequency PWM Dimming also helps to reduce eye strain for consumers after a long period of screen time.

As for the specifications, the nova 11 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 778G 4G processor with 256GB ROM which I would say, is plenty to handle mainstream apps and games in the market right now. On the other hand, the nova 11 Pro houses a 4500 mAh battery that supports 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo which can be fully charged up in 20 minutes with the display turned off.

Of course, there are much more features about the HUAWEI nova 11 Pro which I'm likely to share in our review in the next few days. Meanwhile, if you wanted to learn more about the nova 11 series, please stay tuned on HUAWEI's official Facebook and Instagram.
