Hexadrive, the developer of Silent Hill: The Short Message has recently announced that they will be releasing a new horror game titled Niraya of ■■ (■■ no Niraya). The game has already released a trailer on July 18th, and although the game has no release date, it is said that the game is set to be released on PC via Steam around the end of 2025.
According to the game's description by the company, "Niraya of ■■" is said to be a Japanese-style horror game that is inspired by the beliefs of Buddhists during the Kamakura period. The game's main goal is for the player to "avoid" the pursuits of the various monsters throughout the area, instead of fighting them, repelling them or even hiding from them as compared to a lot of other major horror games.
In addition to this, the protagonist of the game is said to be a little girl that was shown in the trailer. As a result of this, players will need to deal with a limited stamina bar and rely on using the surroundings in order to evade monster attacks.
Based on the trailer, players will be playing as the protagonist to help her escape the confines of the mysterious realm that she was brought to, desperately seeking help. Players must guide through the dark, eerie areas in the realm to help the protagonist escape from the horrors hidden within the darkness.
Alongside the creepy environment that the players find themselves trapped in, the game also makes the players overcome challenges and solve puzzles littered throughout the maps in order to achieve their goals of escaping the mysterious location.
