Cyberpunk 2077 Hotfix Fixes Game-Breaking Takemura Bug

Last week, Cyberpunk 2077 accidentally introduced a game-breaking bug in a patch that was supposed to - among other things - fix another game-breaking bug. Now, CD Projekt Red has applied a new hotfix to address that new bug.

The recently-released Hotfix 1.11 comes with a fix for the Down on the Street quest, in which a call from the character Goro Takemura would bug out and impede progress following Patch 1.1. “It occurred for some players during a holocall with Takemura, when using a save made on version 1.06 with Down on the Street quest in progress at "Wait For Takemura's call" objective,” explains the Hotfix notes. “After loading such a save on version 1.1, the holocall would lack dialogue options and block interactions with other NPCs.”

Another Patch 1.1-related issue that the hotfix fixes is related to item randomization. A post on the CD Projekt Red forums said that the bug caused items to “sometimes not scale to player level and and always have the same number of sockets with the same types of mods (if present)”. The Hotfix 1.11 notes say that item randomization is now back to its “previous state”.

The hotfix is now out on PC, consoles, and Stadia.
