Coolpad may be a relatively unknown brand in our local market. Contrary to its name, the company doesn't make fever strips or menthol-lined sanitary pads. Rather, they are known for making highly affordable gadgets, including smartphones.

At CES 2020, Coolpad introduced the Legacy 5G, which is poised to be an entry-level 5G smartphone that won't break the bank. Here's what we know about the phone so far:
6.53" FHD+ HDR10 Display
Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC
Qualcomm Snapdragon X52 modem
Android 10 OS
4GB RAM + 64GB ROM
48MP main camera + 8MP wide-angle camera
16MP front camera
4000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging capabilities
Priced at USD359 (~RM1,472), it is extremely affordable, even to our poor ringgit-earning selves. If you're looking to wade into the waters of the 5G world, this may be a good option.
You'll have to wait a bit, however, as the Coolpad Legacy 5G is only available in Q2 2020.
