Want to achieve esports glory from the comfort of your own home? If you're a Call of Duty: Mobile player, your time has come.
Activision has announced the COD: Mobile World Championship sponsored by Sony. The online tournament will take place across 4 weekends (30 April - 24 May 2020), and is open to eligible players ranked veteran or higher - meaning you must be 18 years old or older, have no undisclosed violations on any Call of Duty accounts registered to the player, and reside in an eligible region.
The official rules have yet to be released, so it hasn't been confirmed whether Malaysia is included in the list of eligible regions. We will update this article as more details are revealed.
It should also be noted that this is a touchscreen-only tournament; external devices such as bluetooth controllers, mice, keyboards, and more are strictly prohibited, as is the use of desktop emulators.
The prize pool has not been officially confirmed by Activision, but Engadget has stated that there will be a whopping US$1 million in prizes up for grabs.
All eligible players will also be rewarded with in-game items for registering each week, so even if you don't feel like shooting for the jackpot, there's still a good reason to participate.
