Call of Duty: Cold War Season One is coming on December 16, and it has gotten a trailer and a blog post to detail its narrative as well as the contents for both Cold War and the free-to-play Call of Duty: Warzone. Some of the new content will be available on launch week, while others will arrive “in-season”.
The narrative aspect involves Vikhor “Stitch” Kuzmin’s plans for revenge against CIA agent Russel Adler. As the Call of Duty blog explains, Adler and upcoming NATO operator Zeyna Ossou have discovered that Stitch has been producing a lot of Nova 6 nerve gas. At the same time, Stitch, who lost an eye to Adler during an interrogation, has a trap in store for the latter.
Stitch and Zeyna will be among the new operators that will be added during Season One, along with another NATO operator, Bulldozer. There will also be new weapons for both Cold War and Warzone like the MAC 10 SMG, Groza assault rifle, Streetsweeper shotgun, and Sledgehammer and Wakizashi melee weapons.
For Cold War, four new modes are en route, including the 2v2 Gunfight mode introduced in Modern Warfare 2019 and Prop Hunt. Meanwhile, the map list will be reinforced by eight new additions, three for 6v6, four for 2v2, and one for Fireteam. There will also be a new vehicle, a new score streak, and new limited-time Zombies modes. Prestige level they attained prior to the new season. There will also be new map called Rebirth Island, which promises “intense, close-quarter action with a similar playstyle to Warzone’s Mini BR mode” and a smaller player count, and a new Gulag which is based off a section of Nuketown.
