Game 1: BSE Takes A Strong Lead in the First Game!
The first game of the Grand Finale started off intensely right from the get go as the night was kickstarted by BSE.Zhe, playing the hero Dyadia, who got the first kill of the night.
The battle felt all over the place with neither team dealing a decisive blow, but it felt like BSE had a tight control of the game, gathering together to attack Dominator Esport at every turn of the battlefield. This point would eventually to be right as the Malaysian team eventually broke through their opponent’s defences with and destroyed the enemy’s Crystal, earning their first point of the night. In terms of kills, the match ended in favour of BSE, with the Malaysian team getting 16 kills to DMT's 7 kills.
In the round it was BSE.Jr, who played as Sun Ce, who was awarded the first MVP of the night, his performance as the marksman was vital in the match, picking off his enemies slowly, one by one.
Game 2: BSE Extend Their Lead on the Night!
The second round seemed to have been slower compared to the first round, as neither team was able to get a single kill even after seven minutes. Though the match slowly began to change as DMT found their footing as DMT.Toshi, who played as Gan & Mo, got the first blood of the round, and the team’s dominance seemed to continue from there as DMT.Freddie, Lian Po, managed to get a double kill mid-way through the round, overpowering Team BSE in a 3v3 battle.
Team Dominator Esport seemed to have a strong grip on the match, but fortunes seemed to have swapped over as BSE.Jr, who played Arli in the second round, managed to get a triple kill halfway through the battle at the mid-lane. From there, it was evident that the momentum quickly shifted from the Indonesian team to the Malaysian.
This ended up coming to fruition as BSE.Jr continued to showcase his dominance in the match after getting a vital double kill in the enemy’s base before the Malaysian team eventually destroyed the Crystal while defeating the entire team in the process, putting Team Black Shrew Esports 2-0 on the night! The round ended with a kill score of BSE’s 13 to DMT’s 6.
Once again, BSE.Jr managed to get the MVP of the round, which was to be expected after his stellar performance in the round, getting vital kills when his team needed him most.
Game 3: BSE Continue Their Dominant Streak!
The round started off on the right foot for BSE as BSE.MusangKing, playing Yuhuan, was able to get the first kill of the night, getting a swift double kill on DMT, as Black Shrew Esport looked to push on to further their lead in the night.
The round felt quicker compared to the other two round as BSE.MusangKing who once again managed to get a double kill on his opponents and Dominator, try as they might, were unable to counter their opponents as they slowly found themselves pushed back to their base.
BSE.Jr, who played Princess Frost, gets a late double on the night as Team BSE kept their attacking dominance throughout the last stretch of the game, effectively destroying Team Dominator’s Crystal through sheer numbers despite Team Dominator making it 3-0 on the night. Their dominance was shown through the kill scores as BSE managed to get 11 kills in total while DMT was only able to get a single kill in that entire round.
After his stellar performance in the round, BSE.MusangKing from BSE was once again awarded the MVP in the round.
Game 4: Black Shrew Esport Wins The Tournament in a Back-and-Forth Round!
In a must win game for the Indonesian team, Team Dominator had no plans of going down without fighting as DMT.Freddie was quick on the attack as he got the first blood of the round before he managed to get another quick kill, putting the Indonesian team on the right foot in the early stages.
Though Team Black Shrew Esport had every intention to finish the tournament as BSE.MusangKing gave some breathing space for his team after managing to get the first Tyrant of the round before a short spell of dominance in the middle lane as the Malaysian team managed to get several kills on their opponents.
The battle seemed to shift in momentum once again as DMT.Freddie managed to get a double-kill which seemed to invigorate the Indonesian side as Team Dominator maintained their pressure on their opponents, taking a lead in kills of 7-5.
BSE MusangKing once again was the catalyst to Team BSE’s comeback as he managed to get a double kill, turning the tides to their favour once again. After their successful attack on the Tyrant by BSE.Jr and from there, the match seemed to have been over as BSE.MusangKing and BSE.ZheHong managed to get in a Killing Spree and Double Kill respectively in the final moments of the game before they ultimately destroyed Team Dominator’s Crystal, sweeping the match 4-0 and becoming the Champions of the HOK Championship 2024! The score wasn’t a true testament of how close the match truly was as BSE were able to get a total of 15 kills while DMT scored only 9 kills in total.
After everything which took place it was BSE.MusangKing who earned himself the title of FMVP for tonight’s competition. His performance was on another level tonight and the game would have been a different story without his presence and kills throughout the game.
Through sheer dominance and teamwork, Team BSE were able to overwhelm Team Dominator in the finals and pulled out victorious winning the match in a dominant 4-0 display. With this victory under their belts, Team BSE has asserted themselves as the top team in Honor of Kings as the Esports calendar looks to slowly move over to the 2025 season!
