A new map called Firebase Z is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on February 4 as part of the game’s Season One. It will be free for all players.
Not much is known about the new map at the moment, but the Call of Duty blog post offers a brief description of what to expect: “With the destruction of the WWII-era “Projekt Endstation” site after investigating the otherworldly Dark Aether anomaly in Poland, Requiem now sets its focus on the latest Dark Aether outbreak site: Outpost 25, known by the code name “Firebase Z.”
More information on new Black Ops Cold War will be shared in the next few weeks.
The Firebase Z announcement comes as Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies Free Access Week kicks off, with Zombies’ Die Maschine and Cranked (and Onslaught, for PlayStation players) modes available for play until January 21. A new Cranked mode called Onslaught Raid was launched on January 15, alongside support for the Wakizashi sword in Zombies.
