For those unfamiliar with ASUS' ZenBook range, it is a lineup of slim and lightweight laptops designed for portable productivity. After a string of reveals, today the company teased the arrival of the ZenBook 13 (UX325) and ZenBook 14 (UX425), which will reach Malaysian shores later this month.
The upcoming ZenBooks are slimmer than ever, boasting a mere 13.9mm of thickness, as compared to the 17.9mm of its predecessor. Most importantly, ASUS has managed to fit a wide array of full-sized ports on this tiny machine, including two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt support, one USB 3.2 Type-A port, a full-sized HDMI port, and a microSD card reader.
In an increasingly common move, ASUS has also ditched the 3.5mm jack in favour of wireless audio solutions. However, a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter is included in the package for those who are still lagging behind the times.
Beneath the hood, both models sport a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor, up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 512GB of PCIe 3.0 SSD storage. It also manages to cram in a hefty 4-cell 67Wh battery that purportedly lasts up to 22 hours on a single charge, meaning you can ditch the charger on a regular workday. Connectivity-wise, it supports Intel WiFi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.0.
The ZenBook 13 and 14 will be available in 2 colours - Pine Grey and Lilac Mist. The official pricing has yet to be revealed, while the official launch is reported to be taking place near the end of July. Until then, stay tuned for more info.
