ASUS Unveils ProArt PA401, PA602 Wood Edition PC Cases with Retro Colors!

ASUS has introduced new color options for its wooden PC cases — Retro Brown and Modern Black for the ProArt PA602 Wood Edition, and a Beige finish for the PA401 Wood Edition. Blending natural textures with refined craftsmanship, these designs embody a perfect balance of warmth and modern minimalism, bringing earthy tones and retro-inspired aesthetics to contemporary PC builds.

Refined lifestyle design

The ProArt PA401 Wood Edition and PA602 Wood Edition may differ in size, but both share a standout feature — beautifully crafted wooden front panels made from FSC™-certified sustainable wood, blending eco-conscious design with timeless elegance. Each wooden panel undergoes thermowood treatment and a two-step coating process for durability, protection against heat and humidity, and a smooth low-sheen finish.

Available in multiple colorways, including classic Black and the new Beige option for the PA401, these cases offer both style and substance. The PA401’s beige finish is complemented by color-matched 160mm fans and a white cable set, achieving a seamless aesthetic through precision injection molding for consistent tones across all components.

Exceptional cooling performance

The wooden front panels of the PA401 and PA602 are designed not just for looks but for function — their open-grille layout promotes unobstructed airflow to keep components cool. Both cases come with three pre-installed, high-performance PWM fans for powerful yet quiet cooling: the PA401 includes dual 160mm front fans and a 120mm rear fan, while the PA602 features dual 200mm front fans and a 140mm rear fan. With well-optimized interiors and removable dust filters, these cases maintain lower CPU and GPU temperatures and stay cleaner for longer. The PA602 also adds a smart dust detection system that lights up an LED indicator when the front filter needs cleaning.

The PA401 and PA602 feature front panels with integrated PWM control, letting users switch their PC's fan mode with ease. Alternate between maximum cooling power or letting the PC manage fan speeds with the tap of a button.

To take cooling even further, the PA602 has dual air deflectors, funneling fresh air toward the graphics card and CPU cooler. This bigger case is designed to house seriously demanding parts, so keeping those components cool helps a whole machine operate.

Creator-focused convenience

The ASUS PA401 and PA602 are designed for effortless PC building, featuring one-press side panel release for quick access and generous cable management space — 34mm on the PA401 and 30mm on the PA602 — to keep builds neat and organized. Both support vertical or horizontal GPU installation and include a pre-installed PWM fan hub for easy cooling expansion.

The PA401 offers a detachable rear bracket for simple PSU setup, tool-free 3.5-inch drive installation, rear cable clips for tidy routing, and a locking latch to secure the side panel. Meanwhile, the PA602 enhances convenience with top carrying handles, built-in wheels, a unified front-panel header, screwdriver-free PCIe installation, and a concealed WiFi antenna compartment for clutter-free storage.

Modern connectivity

Both the PA401 and the PA602 give users the front panel connectivity they need for maximum convenience. The PA401 features two USB 3.0 Type-A ports and a USB 20Gbps Type-C^® port. Thanks to its larger size, the PA602 features all of this plus two additional USB 2.0 ports.

Next to these ports, both chassis’ panels include a physical lock latch. This latch stops users from accidentally tapping their PC's power button.
