ASUS Unveils Latest ZenBooks - The World's Thinnest Laptops with Full I/O Ports

What's getting thinner and lighter every year? (Hint: Definitely not me.)

ASUS has announced the latest iterations of their ever-popular ZenBook laptop series: the ZenBook 13 (UX325) and ZenBook 14 (UX425). The ZenBook range is known for its portability - they're basically lightweight productivity machines that you can easily take on the go.

This generation, ASUS pared down the ZenBooks' already diminutive form factor to a ridiculously svelte 13.9mm - and the ZenBook 13 weighs a mere 1.07kg! Despite their tiny size though, both models boast the distinction of being the world's thinnest laptops to offer comprehensive I/O ports, including a full-sized HDMI port, USB Type-A ports, USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3 support, and a microSD card reader.

Their innards have also received snazzy upgrades, including the latest 10th Gen Intel Core CPUs. You'll also enjoy 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 512GB of PCIe 3.0 SSD storage and the latest WiFi 6 (802.11ax) standard.

Other notable features making a return are the Ergolift hinge and the ASUS Numberpad 2.0, which is essentially a virtual numpad that can be brought up on the touchpad with a simple touch of a button. The laptops are also MIL-STD-810G certified, which means they can take a pretty good beating and survive.

While the ZenBooks' concentric circle lid design makes a welcome return, colour-wise, the series has been updated with 2 new shades: the classy Pine Grey, and elegant Lilac Mist.

In terms of pricing, both the 13" and 14" models sport the same price tag: RM3,999 for the i5-1035G1 variant, and RM4,699 for the i7-1065G7 variant.

Detailed specs are as follows:
